
ABOUT ME
I AM TESSA,
35 years old and mother of two beautiful daughters. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I have a background in psychology and I'm a certified baby and child sleep coach.
My oldest daughter Lauren was an excellent sleeper from a young age, thanks to advice from a dear friend who was training to be a baby sleep coach herself. My curiosity was sparked and I delved into the science of babies and their sleep patterns.
I found myself drawn to the subject, and as friends started asking me for tips for their own children, I realized how much I loved helping others. I knew I wanted to do more and took the plunge by enrolling in a baby and child sleep coach training program at the internationally acclaimed Baby Sleep Consultant training institute. This coincided with the birth of my youngest daughter, allowing me to immediately apply and test all the knowledge, theories, and skills. The result? Two beautifully sleeping children of my own and countless more among my clients!

Education
I completed my training at the globally recognized Baby Sleep Consultant Institute based in Australia and New Zealand. Over a year, I immersed myself in science, attended lectures, and read an array of books written by pediatricians, child psychologists, and experts in the field. Additionally, I’ve had the pleasure of helping numerous families with children aged 0 to 4 years to get better sleep and thereby an essential part of their lives back.
The training was diverse and equipped me with expertise in various sleep training techniques, from more gentle ‘no-cry’ methods to quicker solutions. By actively listening to you and understanding your situation, we can collaboratively choose a technique that feels right for everyone involved.
My Approach
I believe in tailoring my advice to suit the parent’s wishes and the child’s personality. There are many paths to dreamland, and a ‘one size fits all’ approach simply won’t do. It's my job to work with you to find the best approach for you and your family. A common issue I see is that children are not yet able to fall asleep independently. We’ll look at different techniques to address this and choose what’s best for you. Furthermore, by looking at your child’s sleep environment, feeding, and daily routines we can often see great improvements already. This holistic approach ensures we take everything into consideration and will lead to actual results.
I offer my services online by using video calls, email, and WhatsApp. This enables swift communication throughout our collaboration where you always have a way of reaching out to me in case of any questions or concerns.
